On-device processing — the whole point of this site

Your videos are never uploaded to us, and that's not a policy choice we could quietly reverse — it's the architecture. Every tool and the full editor run inside your browser: decoding via your browser's media engine, processing via WebAssembly (FFmpeg compiled to run locally) and WebGL on your own GPU, and saving via your browser's download mechanism. There is no upload endpoint. There is no processing server. A video you edit here travels from your disk to your browser's memory and back to your disk, and nowhere else.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while trimming, compressing or editing — no video data leaves your machine. The same is true of microphone and screen recordings made with our recorder, and of subtitle files you import.

Project autosave (your device only)

The editor saves your work-in-progress — layout, settings and source files — to your browser's local IndexedDB storage so you can resume a session. This data lives in your browser profile on your device, is never transmitted, and can be cleared from the editor's resume prompt or by clearing site data in your browser.

What we do collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage — which pages get visited, what devices people use. It relies on cookies and collects standard technical data such as IP address and browser type. It has no access to your video files. Standard tracker blockers will block it without affecting any tool.

Theme preference. Your light/dark choice is kept in localStorage on your device.

Advertising

The site may show ads to stay free. Ad providers may set cookies to serve relevant ads. Ads cannot access your files, recordings or projects.

Children's privacy

This is a general-audience utility; we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update this page and its date, noting material changes prominently.
